The Audiophile is quite a different LLC, a whole new audio component category. We started with the Purist LLC, added a few more features then merged in a precision phase coherent 2-way active crossover filter. Audiophile offers an outstanding performance level with many options, and puts a complete high-end bi-amp solution into one compact enclosure.

Combining two components greatly improves the systems sonic performance by eliminating the extra interconnects, RCA connectors, switches, relays, additional power supplies, along with providing shorter, more controlled audio signal paths. The Audiophile is a much cleaner more correct bi-amp solution than some of the others currently available.

The LLC-A is a tweaker's dream offering features, versatility and options that can be used for many different system setups and combinations. The Audiophile is designed to allow you to try all the options and find the best performance solution for just about any system.

Gain is controlled from a front panel switch and should be used only as required. Keeping the gain to the minimum required allows the Audiophile to achieve the best SNR possible and the optimum system performance.

IRDs built-in system level diagnostics offer an easy to use pink noise generator that can aid in system setup, room setup, component evaluation, speaker placement, driver level adjustments (AXO systems), and an easy to use system level noise troubleshooting tool.

Using the built-in diagnostic features you can learn many things about your systems components, cables, speakers and listening room acoustics. Pink noise can be indispensable for comparison testing, setting up a system, placing speakers, tuning the listening room, or just doing an occasional quick performance check. The noise troubleshooting tool helps locate component internal noise and helps solve ground loop hum problems. Your system becomes easier to understand and more manageable through the many changes audiophiles often make using these fast and easy to use diagnostic features.
